Ananda Kimono

Ananda, आनन्द, "joy, deep happiness" in Sanskrit. A name for a piece that celebrates color and the almost instinctive joy it can evoke.

Against its smoky blue-grey background, large flowers unfold in shades of red, raspberry, coral, and burnt orange. An intense palette softened by a more mineral background color.

Ananda is a kimono of contrasts: luminous without being garish, floral without being demure, feminine without being precious.

Worn open over jeans and a top, belted like a dress, or simply draped over the skin at home, it changes its look without losing its character.

Ananda is made in India using the traditional block print technique, a handcrafted textile printing method that uses carved blocks. The slight variations in color and print that may appear from one piece to another tell the story of the artisan's hand. They are part of its history and make each kimono slightly unique.

Machine wash at 30°C maximum.
Do not tumble dry.
Ironing allowed.

With time and washes, the cotton veil naturally softens, giving the kimono an increasingly beautiful drape and making it more comfortable to wear.
